ABOUT UL17

Uniting Leaders 2017 (UL17) is a three day conference featuring keynote speakers, Nancy Beach and Mark Conner.
UL17 also offers a variety of workshops, networking opportunities and time to connect with other Uniting Church ministry leaders.
UL17 is the second conference, in a series of annual Uniting Leaders conferences that seek to grow and develop healthy leaders for growing churches.

Nancy Beach

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - NANCY BEACH

For over 20 years, Nancy Beach has served as the Programming Director of Willow Creek Community Church in Chicago, building a community of artists who sought to create transformational moments in weekend church services. Nancy also served as a Teaching Pastor, where, on occasions, she delivered the weekend message.

She invested 5 years as a leadership team member of the Willow Creek Association, an organisation that exists to envision and inspire church leaders all over the world. In over 26 countries and on 6 continents, Nancy has shared her passion, teaching at conferences and workshops.

In her book, An Hour on Sunday, Nancy expresses the core vision and values which she believes are foundational to any effective arts ministry. Nancy's second book is titled: Gifted to Lead: The Art of Leading as a Woman in the Church.

Nancy and her husband Warren live in Barrington, Illinois. Their two daughters, Samantha and Johanna, are both artists.

Mark Conner

KEYNOTE SPEAKER - MARK CONNER

Mark Conner has been involved in church leadership for over three decades.

Having recently transitioned out of the role of Senior Minister at CityLife Church in Melbourne, Australia, Mark is now giving himself to training, writing and coaching others toward greater fruitfulness.

Mark has a genuine love for people and a passion to help the grow and change. He has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary.

Mark is married to Nicole and they have three young adult children.
